Home Sweet LITTLE Home.

Am I really posting pictures of our apartment? Yes, I am. It's a work in progress but we are having quite a fun time decorating our house together. Ps, take our advice and shop KSL! We have fully furnished our apartment for less than one semesters tuition.
Our gorgeous quilt is HOMEMADE from my grammie. Amazing right? I got 4 plates of the china (thank you Emily) I registered for and had to display them on our table. I mean, HELLO?!? Vera Wang- gold-lined china does NOT sit in a cupboard unnoticed. I also had to take a picture of our shower curtain because Mitch surprised me with it. I literally have the worlds best husband who knows that nothing makes me happier than coming home to PF Changs, French Silk pie from Village Inn and a cute shabby chic shower curtain all set up.
Haven't learned to blog yet. Obviously. But, I....we... wanted to share some captured memories of the past few weeks! Mitch and I got married. (cheers!) It was my dream wedding in every way, complete with little girls in pink tutu's, a poofy princess dress and chandeliers similar to the "Father of the Bride" wedding which has been in my top 5 movies since I could talk slash walk. I think I was born to have a wedding. I have to say tho, the high light of the day was kneeling across the alter with my sweetheart...gush gush. (Had to add some cliche-ness to this post.) A huge and indebted THANK YOU to the hundreds and millions of family and friends that made my day incredible. I love you all! And, I'll post wedding pictures when I get them. We took a cruise to Mexico for our honeymoon and had the best time ever. Love Mexico, love cruises, love my husband. Xo!

I have always loved this song...and lately, as I've been preparing to go to the temple, its words have come to my mind. The last verse is especially pertinent to me right now.:) Its a beautiful song and great reminder of what heaven sees us. Enjoy! (Download the song by Mindy Gledhill)

What Heaven Sees in You

Sent to this earth, you were saved through the ages for this day and time.
Child of great worth, child of promise, daughter of the divine;
Pure and holy, in a little white dress
You were held in a circle and you were blessed.
And the Father looked down and the angels surrounded that place.
They knew the truth—all that you could do
And you will too if you have eyes to see
What heaven sees in you.

Dressed in white once more, making promises to follow in God's way.
So much lies in store for the little girl who enters at the gate.
Pure and holy, in a little white dress
You were led into the water and you were blessed.
And the Father looked down and the angels surrounded that place.
They knew the truth—all that you could do
And you will too if you have eyes to see
What heaven sees in you.

Do you understand who you are?
Part of the Father lives in you.
And if you continue on this path
Every promise God has given will come true.

Heaven on earth, in the House of God so much fills your heart and mind.
Woman of great worth, woman of promise, daughter of the divine;
Pure and holy, in a long white dress
You promise forever and you are blessed.
And the Father looks down and the angels surround that place.
They know the truth—all that you can do
And you do too, 'cause you have eyes to see

What heaven sees in you.

Will you have eyes to see what heaven sees in you?

Dear Mother.

I don't quite know how to express,
your amazing, fabulous and wonderful..ness.
So here's my poem to say thank you
for who you are and all you do.
Oh Liz where would I be?
Without your guidance, patience and
charity.
I shed a tear, my eyes will swell,
Cuz I know at times I put you through..
*Censored*
Dearest Mom- I wish the apple on the tree,
hadn't fallen so far, more like you I want to be!
You are my example, my very best friend,
My favorite person to talk with, gossip to and train for marathons with..Or so we pretend.
I'm grateful for you mother,
every second of my day.
My life is richly blessed by you.
IN EVERY SINGLE WAY!
I love you Mom. Happy be-lated Mothers Day.

Missions, Mothers Day, and Massive phone bills.

I got to talk to the missionaries last week!
They are so amazing.
Heather and I may or may not have spoken for 2 hours.
Sorry about the phone bill daddy...
We just had a lot to catch up on, like boys. And work. And school.
And oh yeah, her mission.
Jeff is probably going to be a prophet someday.
He is quite the spiritual giant.
I'm not jealous that he's the Golden Child, cuz he is
SUCH A GREAT BROTHER! AND EXAMPLE!
And missionary.
I heart Elder Mella and Hermanna Mella.
But I miss them terribly.
Hurry and come 2010.
Ps, please enjoy my photo-tribute to my "siblinaries." (Get it?)

~I VERY MUCH HEART WOMENS CONFERENCE ~

Turning 24 has been quite difficult for me.
Why?
Among other things I feel like I have NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!
But...That all changed with my mother invited me to go to Women's Conference with her, my aunts and my grandmother.

 FINALLY I'M GROWING UP!

It was a WONDERFUL experience for me. I was not only spiritually and mentally edified, but spending time with my mom and aunts was just beyond fun. I'm blessed to be part of such a great slash fun slash AMAZING heritage. Thank you dearest family, for letting me partake in the most memorable festivity of 2009. Thus far..

***DISCLAIMER***

I should not have a blog for the following reasons:
1. I am not a self proclaimed photographer and don't have artsy/creative pictures to post.
2. I haven't started my own headband/vintage jewelry business to sell my items via blogging.
3. I don't have a husband or kids. 'Nuff said.
HOWEVER...
Writing has proven to be my greatest form of therapy. So, to keep myself sane amidst the insanity of my daily life, I have decided to BLOG! (or I'm just a total conformist) (or I need something to save me from a possible facebook addiction)
SO INTRODUCING...
"Des Petites Pensee De Jenni"
.....this means, "Jenni's Little Thoughts"...in French. The most beautiful language I wish I could speak.
Tootles.
